The more Bettman talks, the more I’m disgusted.

You want to tell me this isn’t Bettman’s fault? Okay. I get that. He’s the spokesman for 30 greedy pigs, but his job description is to be the face of them. So, expect to eat shit when everything goes wrong and you’re the fall guy.

The NHL imposed 24% player salary rollbacks and imposed the cap last time.  THEY forced the players into a situation where they couldn’t win and only they could. The cap was their BABY during all of this and prevented them from having to pay substantial amounts of money, which is an absurd concept in and of itself because it’s simple, just DONT pay the players that much regardless if that’s what you feel.  This is all just so mindboggling to me.  You impose these rules, the players follow them to a T, your own owners continue to hand out 100million$ contracts to player after player and then you think you have the right to complain and fault the players for your ownership groups desire to keep giving out these ridiculous deals?

Fuck you. You don’t give a shit about the fans. You don’t give a shit about the players. You don’t even give a shit about putting the best product on the ice. You give a shit about one thing, and that’s money. This naked greed is disgusting and I’m so sick and tired of us fans being faulted, as well as the players, for mistakes that your own ownership makes and then can’t step up to the plate to deal with.

I’ve never been so ashamed to be a fan . I want nothing more than to support these players, whose entire lives and career could end at ANY moment with one hit.  How DARE you insinuate that you’re paying them too much when you’re pulling in hundreds of millions of dollars yearly without question.  These guys put their lives on the line as well as the stability of their family every single time they step on the ice. Show them some damn respect. 

Plain and simple: If you don’t want to pay players big money, THEN DON’T. Spend to the cap floor or lower the cap and give it a HARD cap so that it can’t go up. Don’t talk shit on your OWN IDEA when it the cap rises and YOUR OWN OWNERS continue to take advantage of that.  There’s a floor for a reason and if your owners really wanted to make more money, they’d just spend to the floor. Period.

It’s not about making more money. It’s about making more money while everyone else makes less. The fans suffer. The Players suffer. The game suffer.
